Coach Daniel

Coach Daniel is a certified RRCA running coach and endurance athlete with a background in semi-professional soccer and a deep passion for performance. Since taking up running in 2021, he has completed dozens of races from 5Ks to marathons, including four full marathons with a personal best of 2:52:45 at the 2026 Houston Marathon. Through DH Performance Running, he specializes in coaching beginner and intermediate runners using a structured, heart rate–based approach that emphasizes sustainable mileage, speed development, and long-term progress. With personalized plans, ongoing support, and a “Dream Harder. Run Faster.” mindset, Daniel is committed to helping athletes reach their full potential.

  • My coaching is designed for beginner to intermediate runners training for 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, or full marathons. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your performance, I’ll meet you where you are.

  • You’ll receive a personalized monthly training plan delivered through VDOT, weekly check-ins, and unlimited communication for support, adjustments, and accountability.

  • We begin with an introductory call to discuss your running background, goals, and current fitness. You’ll also complete a questionnaire, followed by a custom plan and a follow-up call to walk through everything.

  • I focus on heart rate–based training, moderate mileage, and purposeful workouts like speed, tempo, and threshold long runs. The goal is to improve performance while staying consistent and injury-free.

  • A GPS watch is highly recommended, and a heart rate monitor is encouraged but not required to get the most out of your training plan.

  • Coaching is $85/month, paid via Venmo or Zelle.

  • Absolutely. Life happens—your training plan is flexible and will be adjusted as needed to fit your schedule and keep you on track.

  • No problem at all. I work with many first-time runners and will guide you every step of the way—from building a base to race day preparation.

  • I combine real racing experience with a passion for helping others improve. My approach is personal, responsive, and focused on long-term progress—not just quick results.
